  ICT room of 8 computers, students working in pairs. Also 1 hour weekly in computer lab.

  3 weeks, 2 - 45 minute sessions each week
   
Rationale
   
After discussing Peace Education in class along with world leaders/UN, the students were given the theme of world peace and to create an expression that chose 1 leader and how they could deal with the issue.

While Kahootz is used to create the Xpression, many class discussions occurred as well as other class activities.
   
Student Tasks
   
An activity sheet was provided with the following criteria:

  • Choose a world leader.
  • Choose an appropriate 'world'.
  • Create a situation which shows how that leader decided to achieve world peace.
  • Animate and swatch the objects included to fit in with your situation.
  • Get imaginative with the objects to create what you need.
  • Include speech through notepad.

    Compare how other students are creating new objects by swatching and sizing the original objects.
    Compare different solutions in achieving world peace.

    Experimentation with animation, swatching and notepad in Kahootz.
    Knowledge of world leaders and political situations.
    Thinking skills for solving global issues.

    Students can share their solutions when all complete.
    Teacher can upload the class Xpression to a Kahootz Project Space and have students and teachers see the work completed..
