Students wrote historical fiction stories and then animated their stories.
   
Student Tasks
   
    Writing, directing, and producing animations in groups of five, with the purpose of creating a short film. The short film needed to play from beginning to end by itself, after pressing the "Play" button.

Participants rotated jobs every few days, so each participant learned how to do each task.
   
Learning Outcomes for Student Creator
   
   
In-depth study of one aspect of U.S. history, excellent Kahootz skills, and intense collaboration with classmates. The final animations were presented to parents, guardians, teachers, and administration, at our animation festival.
   
Collaborative Potential
   
   
Students at various schools can create animations on a specific topic; the work can be presented at animation festivals held at each school.
