Rationale
| |
Student were asked to re-created scenes from one of the 'Paul Jennings' short stories from those in which we had read throughout
the term. I used 'Kahootz' as the presentation tool and assessed students understanding on how accurately they were able to
re-create the plot, characters, sequences and events, in their chosen story. I was also looking to assess their ability to use
the skills learnt through the Kahootz tutorials.

Involvement for Xpression Participant
| |
Students were to decide on every facet of their Xpression. (ie; worlds through to objects). |
They were given a choice of story to re-create. |
Given equal/adequate time to complete their Xpression. |
Students were asked to critique their own and other students Xpressions. |
They then had to give a short presentation back to the class at completion. |
They needed to show evidence of aspects of Kahootz (key-pointing, swatching) |
| |
Each participant needs to:
| |
| |
| |
Students Were Given This List of Guidelines:
Cover Page/Scene |
First Name (Only) |
Title & brief description of the story they were re-creating (3-4 sentences) |
Characters to appear in their Xpression. |
2 Sounds. |
Camera Key pointed. |
| |
3 Scenes |
Minimum of 2 sounds per scene. |
All characters are key-pointed in some way. |
Camera - is key-pointed, clear, smooth flowing way. |
All scenes are linked together. |
At least 3 objects have been swatched in some way. |
Your story must be an accurate representation of your chosen story.
(in terms of characters, plot, sequence of events). |
It must include an 'End' scene, so people know when your Xpression is finished. |

Collaborative Potential
| |
| |
Schools could analyse/deconstruct students Xpressions. |
A number of the Xpressions rely on the viewers involvement in order for them to play. |
Students could re-create many stories and have other schools 'Guess the Story?' |
