Students to produce a series of scenes related to interests, family and future aspirations.
Xpressions were uploaded for collaborative school to view.
 

School 2:
Students downloaded the Xpressions.
Students added their own interests, family and future aspirations to the Xpression.

Involvement for Xpression Participant
   
   
  School 1:
Create an Xpression that included selection of a World, Objects, keypointing, animation, swatching, sound and linking.
Upload to the collaboration project space.
 
School 2:
Download and view the Xpression.
Select a World, Objects, keypointing, animation, swatching, sound and linking.
   
Each participant needs to:
   
   
Work independently.
Peer tutoring.
   
Learning Outcomes for Student Creator
   
   
Design an Xpression which clearly represented information about themselves.
Demonstrate student understanding of Kahootz skills.
   
Collaborative Potential
   
   
  Plus:
Sharing of work with another school.
Development of student's problem solving skills.
Students' excitement of sharing work with another school working on the same project and at seeing the completed collaboration Xpressions.

  Minus:
Some students did not complete Xpressions in time given.

  Interesting:
Some wanted to keep adding information over a longer time frame.

  Follow up activities from this collaboration:
Could develop into a 'pen pal' situation.
Could also do this with a school in another country/culture.

  Advice for another school contemplating this collaboration:
Allow plenty of time, especially if you want to use this as an ongoing project.
Make sure students have ownership of the task - they need to know that another school is depending on them to complete the task.
