Rationale
|
| |
|
 |
|
This unit required students writing a collaborative section for a narrative story. Each group was responsible for an introduction, beginning, problem,
conflict and the resolution of the story.
After sending their written section to the next group of students at another school by email Students were to create a Kahootz Xpression to animate their
work and put this on line.

Student Tasks
|
| |
|
| |
|
Prior to starting all groups were organized into a set
of circles involving a group from each school in the circle. For ease of management teams were colour coded and alphabetically numbered.
All students were given an afternoon workshop on the use of Kahootz.
All groups had to take a digital photo of them selves to introduce themselves by email to the other groups.
Week One: Students had to write a beginning section of a narrative story collaboratively in their groups and send this on to the next school group.
Once this was sent they could begin their Kahootz Xpression, once completed it could go up on line.
Week Two: Once groups received their beginning section they began writing the problem. Once completed it was sent on to the next school group. They could
download the Kahootz Xpression begin to create their corresponding Kahootz Xpression and upload the Kahootz Xpression to the web.
Week Three: Once the groups received their problem section they could begin to write the conflict. They could now download the Kahootz Xpression
and add on their section.
Week Four: Once the groups received their conflict section they could begin to write the resolution. They could now download the Kahootz expression and add on
their resolution Kahootz expression.
Week Five: Time to complete any stories or Xpressions that were late in being created.
